I was sure I had herpes, but now she tests me by swabbing and Its negative? I don't want to get my hopes up.?

I got my first outbreak about two years ago. It was hands down THE most painful thing I've ever been through. It started with little bumps then became open lesiens right where urine comes out so to say it's painful is an understatement. I went to my gyno and she did a blood test and said it was positive. Anyway, a year ago I had one lesien I thought it was just a small outbreak. Then a few weeks ago I got about three lesiens so I went to a different gyno and she did a swab test. Then I get a call today and they said it was negative? I'm so confused. Help!
